First I want to give honor to God who is the Lord of my life, the master and keeper of all, the one and only hope, the perfect and true.
The longer I live the more respect I have for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Not too long ago I turned 50 years old and that made me look back over my life. I’ve had some hard times along the way but I noticed how God kept me. Even when I was out of His will He protected and cared for me. Not saying that he over looked my disobedience because I did receive punishment for a lot of the things I did. Now I really realize I have a true calling on my life. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Now I see why alcoholism didn’t hold me and cancer didn’t kill me because God knew I was going to answer the call on my life. I’m not writing this to talk about me but using it as an example. The alcoholism and cancer isn’t good but they worked together for my good. They gave me a great appreciation for God because He delivered me from both and gave me focus, which gave me peace and contentment. But sometimes I have to admit I still lose my focus.
Many of us have a list of things that’s going wrong in our lives and we complain daily about them. I really don’t know why its easier to talk about things that’s going wrong and depress ourselves instead of talking about the things that’s going right. Maybe its because the things that do go right are considered not important and we take them for granted. For example if these articles that I write are full of gossip everybody and their cousin couldn’t wait to get their hands on them. But since they are focused on living right and giving yourself over to God, its not that many readers. I want to ask you; Are you happy? My guess is that only a few can say yes. Let me ask you another question; Are you content or comfortable with your life? If you said no to being happy or content you need help. Your problem is your main focus is wrong. To correct this, move your focus to Jesus. Through Jesus you can talk to God. God wants to have a relationship with you and see you happy. In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” If you haven’t already accepted Jesus as your Savior, by surrendering your life to him, do it now. When you do you have access to God. In the Living Bible 2Corinthians 5:21 says, “God took the sinless Christ and poured into Him our sins. Then in exchange, He poured God’s goodness into us.” Wow!!! If that’s not enough to make you happy something’s wrong. If you keep your focus on Jesus you will have a more peaceful and content life.

Thank you God for being perfect. We know we can always count on You to come through. You may not answer our prayers the way we want but You answer them the way they should be. We trust You with every decision You make concerning us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Are you one of those people who has different personalities around certain people. For example when you are around Christian friends you act righteous but when you are around worldly people you change and adapt to them. You are a double minded person to put it nicely. In other words you are neither full saint nor sinner, you go in whatever direction that suits you. To put it in terms you might understand, you are wishy washy, two-faced, a fake or hypocrite. I know this seems kind of harsh but its necessary. James 1:6 says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” If you are one of these people or know someone like this, there is a noticeable unstable pattern. You are up one minute and down the next, you don’t take a true stand for anything, you are very defensive, you stand in the middle of right and wrong more times than often and you don’t have true faith. James 1:6 & 7 says, “But let him ask in faith, not wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not the man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.” You may receive something but not what you want with true joy. Revelation 3:15 & 16 says, “I know thy works, that thou are neither cold nor hot. I would thou were cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” This says Jesus rejects wishy washy people. You have to choose a side, good or bad. Okay I know you’re thinking that bad people will be rejected too and you are right. But bad people are easier to convince to change than people leading a double life. The people living between good and bad try to get the best of both sides. They want the blessings of God and sinful pleasures also. The thing that makes them harder to convince to do totally right is they think they are already totally right. As long as they go to church almost every Sunday and don’t commit any so called big sins, they can get by with committing a few so called smaller sins. What I mean by doing totally right is trying to obey God at all times, not when you want to. I know you’re not going to be perfect and no one is, but you should make an honest effort to please God. If you ever get confused on how to please God, read your Bible. And if you have trouble doing that, find someone to help you.
I’m not saying this stuff to put anybody down. I’m just stating the truth according to the word of God. With the things that are happening in this present world we need to start putting our lives in order. I truly believe that we are moving closer to the end times. I want you to closely examine your life and chose a side. If you choose God that’s great. But if you choose to admit that you are full time sinner that’s also good because you’re being truthful. Now God can work with you to truly save you. If you are tired of your sinful lifestyle call on Jesus right now to save you. Here is the prayer of salvation not just to be read but read with the intent of really turning your life over to Jesus.

I look and see so many unsatisfied and frustrated people around me including myself. Many of these people just let life happen to them wishing one day things will get better. Living off luck by playing the lottery and scratch off cards hoping one day to hit it big. Using this way you almost always end up losing. Or maybe honestly praying for increase in their lives but still not putting anything into action. These people have confessions of laziness and don’t really realize it. They say stuff like I should be exercising, I should be updating my resume, I should be looking for a more fulfilling job and other things like these. We get mad when people come into the country and become successful. These people become successful because they go out and get what they want. We have so many opportunities in this country but they are not going to come knocking at our door, you have to go out and get them. In this life you have to take what you want. Don’t expect this life to hand you too much of anything or for something to just fall in your lap. You have to position yourself in this life to receive what God has for you. This mean if you have goals you have to do what it takes to achieve these goals. Maybe you need to take some classes, get your credit straight, update your resume start saving money, job search at least three times a week, write out a schedule or plan and discipline yourself to follow it and other things like these. Many of you do position yourselves in certain ways and achieve goals but make the mistake of getting too comfortable. For instance your job shutdown you thought was going to last forever or you lose something else that was really important to you that you worked hard to get. Instead of sitting around whining, complaining and crying, Get before God and ask for a plan. If you have a relationship with Him, He will give you direction. After you get the plan don’t just sit around put it into action. Move so God can move with you. If you’re not doing anything God is still with you but you’re not getting anything done. In Matthew 28:19 & 20 Jesus says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world.” In these two verses Jesus is telling His disciples to go and He’s going to be with them. If something is from God Jesus is going to be with you. Another scripture that works is James 2:26 and it says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith with works is dead.” So when you get the plan put some action to it because ideas without action are just unfulfilled dreams. I heard that a person without a plan will be at the mercy of a person with one. Don’t let someone else control your life, pray for a plan and act.
Waking up everyday doing the same things or going through life saying whatever happens today, just happens leads to a mostly boring life. You are living without purpose and direction, so lets live this life to the fullest that God gave us to enjoy. God Bless

Father God we love and adore You. You are Master and Creator of all things so we trust You in all things. Lord sometimes we get the feeling that we have fallen and can’t get up. In these times we need Your helping hand to lift, encourage and guide us in the right direction. Some of us need plans for living a productive life. We ask You right now to give us that plan and we will put some action to it. We thank you in advance for what we know You are going to do. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN

We are living in a world now where good is not always rewarded with good. We have people who dont want Christ and to go to heaven. They dont want to submit to goodness. They want to break down Christians who want to stand for right and find fault with them. Im not saying all Christians are doing it right but we are trying to stand for right. Where would the world be without goodness or righteousness? Ill tell where it would be in a big hateful mess. People would do any mean thing they feel like doing. I know you may be thinking they are doing it now but its a lot of evil being held back because of the root of goodness which is God. Even in my own house Im taking a stand for what is right but my authority is being challenged creating a chaotic or messy situation. If I back off the home would get out of control. But I took a stand and got rid of the messy situation and now the home is peaceful with only the memory of the bad situation. Relationships may be damaged but sometimes there are losses. Now Im being made the enemy because I stood for whats right. Is that fair? No! But peace will rule in my home. All people who stand for right according to the word of God need to take a stand against wrong bringing it in order or casting it out. If this happens more order will return to the world. Taking a stand for righteousness is being an example for those who are stuck in the middle of right and wrong. For the people who are standing in the middle, God does not approve of you. Revelation 3:16 says So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot. I will spue thee out of my mouth. You people who are standing will be attacked by the people who try to reason out wrong. They will try to pull you down to where they are. They will use any trick they can to convince you to see it their way. They will use emotional mind games like threatening to hold their love from you just to mention one. I tell you now to STAND NO MATTER WHAT! If you have true faith in God through Jesus Christ you will always win. Let me leave you with this; Winning does not always feel good but doing whats right always work out for the greater good. God Bless

Lord God we thank you for being a strong powerful God and yet still a merciful God. Father we ask You to strengthen us, in the name of Jesus, to take a stand against the evil of this world. Remind us to examine ourselves first and repent so there will be nothing standing in the way when we do take a stand. Lord God we thank you for everything. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

First of all I want to thank you God for who You are in my life and the lives of my fellow saints because without You we would be nothing. And I want to thank you God for giving us a central focus which is You through Jesus Christ, making us brothers and sisters in the Lord, walking in unity. This brings me to my point; Are we brothers and sisters, under God the Father, walking in unity or together? Ive come in contact with quite a few Christians in my walk with God knowing we have these things in common, the belief in God, His Son Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) and the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God. Sometimes when we discuss things we dont always agree but we are still on one accord or together. But some Christians are not the same. Some like to argue and debate and never agree, thinking its their way or no way and stay offended. It saddens my heart to see Christians try to out do each other, talk down about another Christian, look down on another Christian when they dont have the Bible knowledge like they do and most of all think they are more spiritual or have more power than someone else. All this is a lack of humility. We need to lift each other up or encourage one another. In Matthew 18:19 & 20 Jesus says; Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them. This is why we need to be on one accord or together so we can get things done in this world in this present time we are living. I know all of us as Christians dont totally agree on everything but there are certain things all of us should have in common. We should believe God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one but yet still separate. They are all God but serve different purposes. Study God ,Jesus and the Holy Spirit and learn about them so you can understand the true power thats involved. Dont argue over Gods word, make your point and leave it alone. Pray for that person who you are arguing with and pray for yourself asking God to show the real truth. Sooner or later the truth will be revealed. If all people who call themselves Christians truly agree in Jesus name, the world would be a better place.

In closing pride is our worst enemy because everybody wants to be right. Lets humble ourselves and think about the possibility that we may not be 100% right and let God reveal the truth.

Father God I thank you for all things knowing that they are working together for our good. Lord open our hearts and minds to see You as You really are so we can come together seeing the same thing so we can really change things for the good. There is so much tension among the saints of God and there shouldnt be. Lord remove the pride from our hearts so we can see clearly. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

What do you fill yourself with to get you through your day or week? What motivates you? A lot of us fill our thoughts with job, children, spouse or significant other, possessions, or other things like these. Maybe you occupy your mind with drugs and ,or alcohol. This thing that motivates you, how fulfilling is it?
In this article I’m going to call that area you try to fill your tank. When you drive your car to a point when the fuel light come on that’s an indication its time to fill your gas tank. If you don’t put gas in your car its going to start sucking up trash that is at the very bottom of your tank. When this happens your car will either start stalling or skipping or maybe cut off. If the trash don’t affect your car, it will eventually run out of gas.
This is an example of what happens to us if we don’t fill our minds with the right thing or we do put the right thing in our mind but not enough. When we go to church on Sunday we are putting the right thing in our mind to help us to be truly effective. But is that enough to get us through the week? If that’s all we do, by the middle of the week we are empty again. We become short tempered, impatient, distant or quiet, shallow or just talk about things that don’t cause you to think or you just simply shut down. When we get like this what do we have to offer to the important things in our life. You know the people who are always complaining, bitter, mad all the time, gossip, lie, who are spirit breakers or just plain mean. These people have little or nothing in their tank.
Now we get to the part about what to fill our tank with and how to fill it.
First of all you have to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior. I end every article with a sinners prayer telling how to confess Jesus as your Savior. Saying this alone don’t make you saved. Romans 10:9 &10 says, “That if thou shall confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” The confessing with the mouth has to be done first that Jesus is Lord but it doesn’t end there. Now you have to believe unto righteousness which means you have to believe the only true righteous One, God. Now that you believe God is who He says He is, you must start to get in line with what He represents. Its really a transforming of the heart and mind. Salvation is deliverance from wrath and from the power of sin. When true salvation come, you instantly stop doing some of the things you know are not right. Some things are a little deeper and may take some time to stop doing. That’s why you have to keep filling yourself with the Word of God to drive out uncleanness. We fill our tank with the Word of God by going to church, studying the Bible, praying and meditating on God’s Word. By doing these things you and other people will see a change in you. Praise God until your tank overflows. When your tank overflows you will bless the people around you and you will be blessed also. Let’s stop filling our tank with just enough to get by. Remember how I used the comparison to filling your gas tank. If everyday you just fill yourself with just enough to get by, sooner or later you are going to give out too much and you are going to shut down. I think half filling your cup is selfish because you really don’t have that much to give to other things in your life. Build your faith up. Romans 10:17 says, “ Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” So the only way to build you true faith up is to hear God’s word. So let’s pull up to God’s filling station and tell Jesus to fill us up. God Bless

Father God we thank you for unearned favor and second chances. We bless Your holy name. Father God we ask You to fill us with Your holy Spirit so we can be useful in this life. Have you ever seen anyone with cancer? How over a period of time they slowly deteriorate or go down and eventually die. I know some of you have experienced a love one dying first hand and I know it was heart breaking. But others who haven’t seen a love one dying can relate to somewhat the same kind of feeling. Maybe not as drastic but some where close. I’m talking about when your dreams are dying or have died and you can’t do a thing to stop it. Remember the plans you had, how you were going to do this and that. You get started and things seem to be coming together somewhat. It may be some rough spots in your plans but they can be worked out. Some days are not so good but you are still on schedule. Then all of a sudden one day something tragic happens; death, loss of a good job, loss of a spouse, trouble with children or spouse, a financial hardship out of nowhere or any other type of tragedy. Your world is turned upside down and your dream begin to get sick. Then you begin to call on Jesus to get your plans back on track but nothing changes. Day by day things are getting worse; maybe you lose your house, a car, get evicted, your credit gets bad, or you experience some other major loss. Your dream is almost dead. Then it finally dies. You lose all hope. What are you going to do now? You called on Jesus to stop your dream from going down but let me ask you this; Did you call on Jesus before you started these plans? What we do is start something that seems to be a good idea and expect God to bless it and a lot of the time that don’t happen. Even though God allowed your dream to die, start to trust Him even more. This time go before God and ask what you should now. Proverbs 16:3 says “Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.” Be encouraged with Isaiah 40:28-30 and it says “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”

Father God we give all the honor , glory, and praise. Thank You for being so patient with us. Lead us to put you first before trying anything because we know anything we start without you has a good chance to fail. Lord right now we put you first so whatever we do will succeed. I want to share something with you about a problem that bothers me from time to time. I have a problem with looking back in my past. I’m not talking about looking back seeing where I came from to where I am now seeing the progress I’ve made. I have a problem with looking back at old jobs, that one I liked a whole lot better than the one I have now. Several times a week I would tell anybody who would listen about how great that job was. I was talking about it but wasn’t reaping any benefits from it. Now I’m finally realizing with the help of some good advice that everything is part of God’s plan. Me grieving the loss of that job wasn’t helping anything at all. Before I go any farther I want to direct you to the story of Moses leading the children of Israel out of Egypt to the promised land in Canaan. Many of you have heard this preached, learned it in Sunday school, seen the movie or just simply read the books of Exodus or Numbers in the Bible. To give you a very short recap, the people of Israel groaned about their captivity in Egypt. So God chose Moses to lead them from Egypt to the promised land. You know how you get excited about taking on something new until you actually get into it. That’s what the people of Israel did. They didn’t realize that moving from one place to another has its good and bad points, In this journey they didn’t have the things they were use to in Egypt so they started complaining not thinking of all the good things they would have in the promised land. The most important thing in this transition stage they needed to remember was that God was with them. To sum it up this 11 day trip took 40 years because of the complaining and none of the original adults made it to the promised land. Only Joshua, Caleb and the young children. This thing really touched me. I know God is with me and now I got to realize I’m only in transit.
Friends I know a lot of you have some disappointments in your lives. I want to let you know this is only a journey to your promised land. But you’re only in transit if you want to be. You can choose to settle with good enough or you can go on to get what God has for you. Psalm 23:1 & 2 says, “The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters.” So the Lord let us settle in a good peaceful place, a place of satisfaction. There is one thing I want to point out. Don’t measure your life according to someone else’s because in some cases your transition stage may be someone else’s promised land or the other way around.
Please don’t settle in your life at a point that is not suitable for settling and stop looking back in your past at what you could have had or been. Forget old boyfriends, old girlfriends, old jobs, missed opportunities, and so on. Its only slowing you down. If nothing positive is connected to it leave it alone. The apostle Paul speaks on this in Philippians 3:13. He says, “Brothers I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”
Remember on this journey God has to be with you 100% to have any real sanity. So if you haven’t received Jesus as your Savior, please do. Say it out loud, I’M ONLY IN TRANSIT.

 Has anyone ever told you that God talked to them? Better yet did someone tell you God told them to tell you something? If this has happened you probably wondered in your head that person is nuts to put it kindly. God does speak through the Holy Spirit and to hear Him speak you must be in tune with the Holy Spirit. Some of you may already know this, but for the ones of you that don’t you maybe wondering how to get in tune with the Holy Spirit.. First you need to know how God talk and to find that out you need to read your Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”. So to know what our Creator wants from us we have to read the Bible. So now I want to introduce you to a word some of you know and some of you don’t and the word is rhema (rey-ma). Rhema is a verse or a portion of scripture that the Holy Spirit brings to our attention with application to a current situation or need for direction. So if you read your Bible everyday, praying first for God to speak to your heart, God will talk to you everyday. The rhema may come through a sermon, reading other godly material, through other people of God and so on. Have you ever heard someone preaching and the stuff they are talking about is going on in your life and you start wondering did someone tell them about me. Pay close attention because that’s God speaking through that person to give you the solution to your situation. Before I go any further I want to repeat YOU HAVE TO READ YOUR BIBLE because what is said has to line up with the word of God. This rhema or word from God usually comes with conformation meaning its going to be backed up by another source. For example you could have read or heard something and in that same day or some time later you hear it repeated. If this happens and it line up with the word of God do it because that’s God. 2 Corinthians 13:1 says, “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” In all of this be careful especially when somebody tells you God told me to tell you something because everyone that uses God’s name don’t have good intentions, they may be trying to control you. Make sure it all line up with God’s word and the only way to know that is to study your Bible daily. Remember what I said about confirmation or everything being backed up. Some of you may be wondering what Bible to read and I say read the translation you can understand. Some people may not agree and may tell you to read only the King James version and there is nothing wrong with that if you can understand it. Some of you may get frustrated starting there that’s why I say start out with something like the NIV translation and later on you can move to the King James as you learn. Like I said this is my opinion. Pray to God for peace about this. I wanted to introduce you to this word rhema because I needed to let you know God speaks and He is constantly trying to have a relationship with you. He’s like a loving father telling you exactly what to do so you will have a successful life. Please read your Bible. If you are not saved you don’t have access to God’s promises.
